Thomas T. Hall, nicknamed “The Storyteller”, was an American country music singer-songwriter and short-story author. He wrote 12 No. 1 hit songs, with 26 more that reached the Top 10, including the No. 1 international pop crossover hit “Harper Valley PTA” and “I Love”, which reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Thomas T. Hall died on August 20, 2021, aged 85.

Hall was survived by his son Dean Hall.


Cause of death

Hall’s son confirmed his death in a statement but, however, did not mention the cause of death. The statement reads:

“With great sadness, my father, Tom T. Hall, died this morning at his home in Franklin, Tennessee. Our family asks for privacy during this difficult time”.

None of the media houses who reported his death mentioned what actually led to his death. This post will be updated once the cause is made public.
