Dieter Kirk Brummer was an Australian actor has died. He was best known for his roles in television soap operas, including playing Shane Parrish in Home and Away from 1992 to 1996 and Troy Miller in Neighbours from 2011 to 2012. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that local police discovered Dieter Brummer’s body inside his home in Glenhaven, Sydney at 1: 30 pm on Saturday, July 24 (Local time), following requests for a welfare check.
There is no official conclusion on the cause of his death. The Police said Brummer’s death “is not believed to be suspicious,” but a report “will be prepared for the information of the coroner.”
Brummer’s family release a statement via fellow actor Steve Comey on Monday morning, “We lost our handsome, talented, funny, complicated and beloved Dieter on Saturday morning.”
